I purchased the 12 bottle version of this product. Amazon lists this as "Synthetic" in the title and when viewing the image provided it also shows Synthetic (no BLEND to be found on the label!!). The label on the product I received says Valvoline MAX Life "SYNTHETIC BLEND" SAE 5W 30 motor oil. Buyer beware! for Forty SIX dollars per 6 pack this is drastically OVERPRICED for a synthetic BLEND! I am pissed off!

Since this product came out approx 2 years ago.. I've used it religiously in my vehicle.

2000 Honda Accord 4 Cyl. Currently 170,000 Miles. It shows very little burn-off of oil in the 3-4k mile oil change, and runs strong and clean.

I recommend this to anyone who seeks a synthetic.

Remember to change your oil regularly!

Forget synthetics and their advertised benefits if you have a classic or muscle car with a flat tappet or solid rocker arm camshaft. This is the only API rated street motor oil on the market for street engines with a high amount of ZDDP (zinc diakldithiophosphate) I know of. There will always be debates on what is the the best oil, but high ZDDP makes this a no-brainer in my book.

The Valvoline MSDS sheet states: 1.3% phosphorus/zinc, 1% sulfated ash and 2.5% calcium. The API rating is SH, the other SM rated oils on the market are at or below .08% ZDDP. Live it, use it, drink it, bath in it...not really. Use it in your engine though.
